Feature Requests

It would be useful to have a way to indicate, potentially on the repository definitions level, how to render the filename casing when creating a new note. If the same (as is now) with the casing and spacing we define in the title, or, for example and in my case, if the name should be converted to lowercase and spaces swapped with dashes (kebab). Other popular casings could be included. After setting up in the repository settings, if i write "My note" i would expect the filename to be " my-note.md " and the yaml title to be "My note" (this one defined by me as title: $title$ )

Here's an idea that would make Zettel unique and offer something that no other app does. I've tried many note apps, the vast majority of which are here https://www.noteapps.ca but I don't know of any app for Android where it's easy to multitask or work on more than one note at the same time, it's like every developer thought the same, that a person only needs to write new information, there are no easy solutions for those who need to transfer information from one or several notes to another or consult one note while writing another. My idea was for the app to have tabs like browsers, where in each tab it was possible to open a different note and switch between tabs to consult or edit the notes. The tabs would appear at the bottom of the top area, the existing icons would be moved a little higher to create space for the tabs, they would have the same behavior as in a browser, when starting the app the contents of the initial window would already appear in a tab, next to the tab there would be a + sign to create a new tab, the content of each new tab was always the initial window. Zettel would not be a note-taking app among many others, but an app that stood out for being the only one capable of easy multitasking.

When using the AI chat plugin, it would be great if we could easily run predefined prompts (user defined) on the current file. Think of prompts like "improve this text", "provide feedback for the following text", "translate this text", etc.

I am having problems opening files created by Zettel Notes with some text editors. I would like Zettel Notes to support UTF-8 and to be able to choose this format as the default for creating and saving notes.

Please add support for org-mode Tables and the Backlink Version of org-roam. They use IDs instead of Filelinks. Then this app is the one and only App for notes in my opinion. There is no other good app for org files and org-roam links.

This would allow reading encrypted notes after syncing them to the PC. The tool will take salt value and password and decrypt a specific note file or all files.

Personally I would find very useful a "search only by tag" selectable option without alway having to digit the # as prefix, then It would probably be useful to also have a "Search only in filenames" , "Search only in text body" , "Search only in attachments" and "Search only by date" Regarding tags, I know there is already the Tags element in the left panel but it is inconvenient for me to use. For some graphics projects I have notes with dozens of hexadecimal color codes listed and since they start with # they all get listed there because are considered tags.
